Shanna Moakler appears to have experienced a change of heart regarding her ex-husband Travis Barker’s relationship with Kourtney Kardashian.
The former Miss USA contestant, aged 48, expressed her excitement about the Blink-182 drummer, aged 47, and the “Kardashians” star, aged 44, expecting a child together in a comment shared on Instagram Saturday.
When a fan asked her thoughts on the new baby, she responded, “I am very excited for them. I hope they have a wonderful experience bringing a new life into the world.”
The announcement of Kardashian’s pregnancy took place during Blink-182’s concert in Los Angeles on Friday.
The founder of Poosh held up a sign that boldly stated, “Travis, I’m pregnant,” paying homage to the 1999 music video for “All the Small Things.”
Moakler is among many who are thrilled for the couple’s forthcoming bundle of joy, though her reaction comes as quite a surprise.
Just two months ago, the former model, who shares two children, Landon (19) and Alabama (17), with Barker, was casting shadows on her ex-husband’s marriage to Kardashian.
“I find the whole thing so strange,” Moakler expressed during an episode of the “Miss Understood With Rachel Uchitel” podcast in April.
“I don’t have anything positive to say about it. It’s not because I’m bitter, and I’m certainly not jealous.”
The beauty queen, who was married to Barker from 2004 to 2008, added, “I only wish them the best, and as long as they’re good to my kids, that’s all that matters. But the entire situation is really peculiar.”
During the same month, Moakler accused Kardashian of spending more time with her children than with her own three kids from a previous relationship with Scott Disick.
“She posts more pictures of my kids than of her own, lol,” the alum of “Meet the Barkers” previously stated in response to a fan on Instagram.
While Kardashian didn’t directly address the criticism, she did speak out against the wave of negativity and hate she faced.
“Let’s strive to do better, not just for the world, but for ourselves, our children, and our friends and family,” wrote the CEO of Lemme on her Instagram Story.
“I understand that the positive far outweighs the negative, but it’s still difficult to ignore and feels like every little action is scrutinized. Just imagine the good we could accomplish if we channeled that energy differently.”
Meanwhile, Moakler’s children seem to have developed a strong bond with both their father and Kardashian.
Alabama reposted her stepmother’s pregnancy announcement on social media Saturday and joyfully captioned it with “Baby #7.”
